Friday nights, fortnightly @ 6pm!
This is a community activity that lets adults who love a bit of drama (only the good kind) get together to grow their confidence, sharpen their wit, and have a good laugh! All participants are organised into teams so to 'compete' in improvised theatre games. Rather than having a 'class teacher', this activity is facilitated by senior members of the studio who participate in the comp and, each week, a different team forms the judging panel and keeps the score. Each team consists of 4+ people - invite your friends to form your own team for extra laughs, or, let the studio connect you with new friends and team members!
Just because we are ’grownups’ doesn’t mean we don’t still want to do drama! You may have been taking classes since you were young, or perhaps you just want to try something new… theatre sports is a crazy, funny and high energy activity that everyone can enjoy. Join our ‘adult’ drama group and grow your confidence through improvised theatre and competition for ‘dramatic effect’. Made famous by the TV show ‘Who’s Line Is It Anyway?’, we will play some time old favourite games like ‘line from a bucket’, ‘expert double figures’ and ‘slow motion commentary’. Combining the theatrical elements of mime and physicalisation, characterisation and vocal modulation, these skits will test your wit and energise your creative self.
