About the class:
Group drama classes are a great way for students to learn to act as a team and develop the skills needed for theatrical ensemble work. These lessons are high energy, supportive and innovative in their approach to teaching drama! Each term is carefully planned to ensure that students cover a wide range of skills and unique experiences. Some core areas of focus include: relaxation, voice production, articulation, improvisation, mime and physicalisation, characterisation, storytelling, public speaking, script work, puppets, movement, body expression, use of space and performance. We welcome students at all levels, beginners and experienced. In addition to stage work, our classes also integrate technology and film. Students develop confidence to perform on camera and refine an awareness of the techniques needed to vary delivery between stage and screen. Now more than ever we are aware of the vital role that technology plays in all elements of learning and performance. Given the introduction of online classes as a result of the impacts of COVID-19, we have strongly incorporated screen performances into our areas of learning and teaching. These digital performances are a valuable resources for reflection, audition material and showcasing work for family and friends.
Students under 18ys living in NSW can claim $100 free tuition with government funded Creative Kids vouchers. Please email the student's name, DOB and voucher code before booking.
